iPhone 3GAn iPhone 3G advert broadcast in Britain which shows a users scrolling through different websites and had the voice over "You never know which part of the internet you'll need...Which is why all the parts of the internet are on the iPhone." has been banned in Britain after 2 complaints pointed out that the claim is in fact false as the iPhone lacks support for flash and Java applications.

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) agreed with the complaints, ruling that the advert gave a "misleading impression" of the iPhone's internet capability. It has told Apple the advert must not be broadcast again in its current form.

Apple argued that the advert was talking about the iPhones ability to access all websites, Not claiming that it supports every function on every website.
